Membership Application

The Association of Prosthodontists of Canada is the Canadian Dental Association-recognised representative body of the specialty of prosthodontics in Canada. All dental regulatory authorities across Canada recognise the association of Prosthodontists of Canada as the source of consultation concerning our specialty. However, APC is not a regulatory body nor does it grant credentials for the practise of prosthodontics in Canada. Please see Prosthodontic Programs and New Members for more information.

As you know, the specialty of prosthodontics is experiencing the clinical encroachment of other professionals and para-professionals in dentistry. Our association is responding vigorously by developing programs to better enhance our visibility and promote our unique abilities to government, the public and the profession.

There are only 220 Prosthodontists across Canada. Considering the size of our association we have had a tremendous effect on the dental landscape. Please join to complete our voice; by being part of this organisation you can have a say in its direction and thus in the direction of our specialty. The world around us is changing, and this fact cannot be ignored.

Membership in the association of Prosthodontists of Canada unites all members of our specialty across this diverse land and gives us the synergy needed to continue to move forward, be it in private practice, academia or institutional prosthodontics, and at the regional, national or international level.

You can now also apply online though we ask you to also fill out and fax the paper form as there are some additional questions not on the online form that help us to get to know you better. You will be contacted by email by the administrator with your membership login and password.

NOTE: Most current browsers have Acrobat Reader pre-installed, if you have an older version, follow the link at the Adobe download site called "Troubleshooting" for detailed instructions on how to install the Acrobat Reader plugin for your web browser. Scroll down the page until you find your system (Windows, Mac or Unix) and your browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) and version number. You may wish to print out the configuration instructions. Remember, you will need to restart your browser once the plugin is installed.
